MONDAY MIX – Talking to writers

pondering giraffe This is the last Monday Mix – Visit me on Tuesdays from now on, for an exciting new departure!

As I currently write for children, it is fascinating to consider the relationship between adult/juvenile fiction authors, and why this should be so.

Some authors remain happily and resolutely ‘grown up’, and some authors, of course, would not ever consider writing for adults.

Many authors’ biographies show they began writing for Young Adults, and progressed upwards to Old Adults! JK Rowling, for one, being a high-profile example of this. Then there are adult authors who have decided to dip their toes into the world of the younger generations. Margaret Atwood, for instance.

Which are you?

I leave you with a quirky post on some forgotten books:

Forgotten Children’s literature.
