Welcome to Tuesday Thesaurus – a mix of words for writers, readers, and all thinkers!

Today I want to share the heartfelt work of Oral Storytellers. Their aim is to keep alive the spirit and skills of the bards of old, and to remind us of the beauty and power of oral storytelling, in cultures where it no longer exists in the mainstream.

It is considered the most intimate form of storytelling, where the proximity of the listeners to the storyteller allows the exciting flexibility of non-scripted speech to take its own path, according to the character of the teller, and the reception by the audience.

Have you ever gone along to listen to a live performance by one of them? It is a liberating and exhilarating experience…

Try it!
